That's a good project. She might appreciate it.
[ Around the 25th, there's a parcel wrapped in brown paper left for Mako. Inside is a winter vest similar to his, only with gray, red, and gold stripes along the collar and shoulders. There's a belt to go with it as well.
And he even remembered to put a note!! He's so sorry about his handwriting, oh God. ]
Mako,
It's getting colder so I thought you might want something to help keep out the chill. Anna helped make the belt, so it's from both of us.

Hey, don't worry about it.
What happened are you okay?
[Yeah... no. This isn't gonna fly. He's calling. Ring ring bud]
[Raleigh doesn't really stop to consider they've only spoken like. Once maybe twice. Is it weird to call a stranger? Are they strangers? Who fucking knows anymore.]
Hey, Mako. It's Raleigh.. Seemed like typing was difficult, are you hurt?

[A beat. He's processing that. Mako sounds like shit and no wonder. Raleigh hasn't been here long enough to know anyone who's died (or maybe he's just lucky). He knows it's A Thing here that you can come back but. Huh.]
... You what?
... You what?
[ Oh hey a text he wasn’t expecting. It takes a little while for him to respond, not sure how at first after a week of silence. He’s fine. It’s fine. ]
i’m glad you like it
i’m glad you like it
[ Given how careful he usually is with typing, there's definitely that small needling of worry, one that gets worse when he says it's hard at the moment. He almost goes to ask, but ends up deleting it, because he figures that he'll tell him why if he wants him to know.
It's not shutting people out if you're just waiting for them to say something first, right? Right. ]

[ Kristoff has to read that text over and over and over again to make it actually sink in. He's only vaguely been able to wrap his mind around the idea that people don't stay dead here and he hadn't heard anything about the flu before, but there are things definitely clicking into place.
Usagi had been sick after October. And her friends had all been sick. And Fern and now Mako...
i think i died.
The silence probably makes it seem like he isn't going to answer at all. He'd tossed his Fluid to the side at this point and grabbed Sven to head as quickly as possible to Mako's house. He left the reindeer out front for once, hopping off without even waiting for him to have fully stopped. He doesn't bother knocking, letting himself in (even if the door is locked, he'll find a way, it's not the first time he's had to break into a house in his life), and he's peeking into each room in case he's somewhere unexpected, before making it to Mako's room and opening the door.
He's gonna just... stand there for a second. Staring, mostly, with the worry and concern written all over his face, not trying to hide it. He should think of something to say, right? Not just stand there in total silence like a weirdo. ]
